People's Choice Award: $250

The Annual Member Show is the Duluth Art Institute’s most celebrated event of the year. This exhibition showcases a creative, inspirational, and moving collection of art highlighting DAI members’ artistic endeavors over the past year. Members’ work matters to the community, and this show promises to be unlike any other. We are excited to bring the community together in celebration with a Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting. Please save the date for this unique art opening event on August 17 at 3PM. We anticipate over 150 pieces of two-dimensional and sculptural art, with many pieces available for sale. 

Drop-off dates are Monday, August 9, and Tuesday, August 10, 2021, with after-show pick-up Monday, September 27.

All exhibiting members are eligible for the People's Choice Award. Voting takes place during the Annual Member Show reception and the winner will be announced at the end of the evening.

READ THE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS 

    • Artists must be active members as of artwork drop-off date
    • Artwork must have been made in 2020 or 2021
    • 2D artwork must be less than 40” in height or width
    • 3D artwork must weigh 50 lbs or less
    • All artwork must be ready to hang with a wire on the back (No magnets)
    • All artwork must be clearly labeled on the back of the work with:
          • Artist Name
          • Title
          • Medium
          • Year
          • Size
Even if artwork is accepted at intake, it may be excluded from the exhibition at the discretion of the Duluth Art Institute.

For the safety of all members and staff, a digital submission form must be submitted prior to artwork drop off. 

Please note: The artwork information entered into this form will be the EXACT information printed on the exhibition labels. Please carefully review your answers to ensure accuracy.

Artwork drop-off takes place in the Great Hall of the St. Louis County Depot. For directions and information about parking, click here. 

When you arrive, check in by your last name to confirm your membership and that you have completed the digital submission form. 

Artists are responsible for taking all bubble wrap and other packing materials with them as the DAI does not have the space to store it.
