Plaster Sculpture: Wild Animals with Julia Jaakola (Ages 6-10)

July 5-9

Monday-Friday(1-4pm)

$150 members $200 non-members

The most beautiful natural areas in North America and the animals living wild within them will serve as our inspiration to create. Campers will use plaster gauze to form an animal, reptile, or fish from photographic images. After creating and painting a unique sculpture, campers will create a 2-D painting using watercolor paint and pastels to illustrate the natural environment that the life form lives in. Explore the natural world through art and expand your technical sculpting and painting skills through hands on art making.

The Duluth Art Institute is following CDC Covid-19 guidelines, as well as state and local protocols. Social distancing measures are practiced in all indoor spaces. Masks are required when indoors.

A photo release and emergency contact form will be emailed after you register. Completed forms can emailed to espooner@duluthartinstitute.org prior to the first day of camp, or printed and returned on the first day of camp.
