Thanks to an Arts Learning grant received from the MN State Arts Board, we have 10 artist to classroom residencies available for our regional schools in Minnesota. This program is geared at providing art access to 4th and 7th grade classrooms but we will consider all requests, knowing that 4th and 7th grades take precedence. We will place an artist in your classroom for a 20 hour residency. This may take place over one or two weeks. Each residency will expose students to a variety of artistic disciplines and themes to match your curriculum.
Residences are available after January 1st, 2020 to be fulfilled by the end of the current school year. With 10 residencies in total available, we invite you to fill out the registration form to denote what school and classroom you are requesting the artist for, what week or weeks that you are requesting the residency and the art discipline(s) that interest you.
The program includes bus transportation to the DAI Depot location to visit the galleries and an art exhibition of collective art by participating students and artist instructors.
