Home School Art Classes: Youth Art for ages 5-11 with Liz Vandersteen 

RESCHEDULED 4 sessions 9-11am  May 4th, 6th, 11th and 13th at DAI Lincoln Park Building

$105 4-session member rate  $125 4-session non-member rate 

Explore various art forms, art mediums and Artists.  Get creative and have fun sculpting, drawing, painting and working with various art materials and found objects from nature including pencils, pastels, charcoal, chalk and paints.  The last class will end with an Art Show of the student works.

Youth Film Photography Club for ages 12+  at the Depot Darkroom, located on the 2nd floor of the Depot

The DAI photo darkroom, fiber studio, print studio, and photography studio are closed for the next two weeks, opening March 30. No study groups or open studio are available at the DAI Depot location or the Lincoln Park Building. 

1st Wednesday of the month, ongoing 5:30-8:30 p.m.  March 4th, April 1st, May 6th, June 3rd 

$20 per session  *A limited amount of film, paper and chemicals for developing will be provided with the registration fee.  Feel free to bring your own cameras and any additional supplies, as needed.

Spend time at the historic Depot exploring the art of film photography.  Learn how to use the elements of photography to take better shots and learn how to develop film and make your own prints in the darkroom.  We will provide film cameras, lenses and other photography equipment to use while at the Depot.   A limited amount of film, paper and chemicals will be provided with the registration fee.  Feel free to bring your own cameras and any additional supplies, as needed.

Camp tuition includes a $50 non-refundable deposit due upon registration.

Tuition must be paid in full two weeks prior to camp start date. No refunds or tuition credit will be awarded on or after this date.

Through the magical combination of ceramics and imagination, kids will transform lumps of clay into art. Fill your house and shelves with unique and colorful three dimensional masterpieces.

Teen Wheel Throwing for ages 12-17 with Liz Vandersteen

Get your hands dirty while making amazing ceramic art. The magic of wheel throwing will be covered in this introductory class. All levels of experience are welcome.

Full Day Teen Art Camp for ages 12-17 with Kristina Estell 

9-4pm June 22nd to June 25 at DAI Lincoln Park Building

Explore art from all angles as you spend time painting, drawing, sculpting and playing with clay. Get inspired by art history and modern artists working in the field. Learn the value of self-expression and the positive outlet that art making can be in a person's life. Expand your technical skills and knowledge of art by getting out and doing it. This is a week to explore art from the inside out.

Full Day Teen Photography Camp for ages 11-17 with Logan Kerkhof

9-4pm June 22nd - June 26 at The Depot Darkroom

This fun photography camp teaches teens how to use the elements of photography to take better shots and develop their interest in the art of photography.  Different types of photography are explored such as studio and portrait photography, documentary photography, street photography, and photojournalism.  Students will learn how to develop film in a darkroom.
