Solar plates, a new approach to traditional printmaking, is a simple environmentally friendly process resulting in images that resemble etchings, lithographs, screenprints, or linocuts…they can even have photographic effects. Bring your ideas and explore this medium with award winning artist Matt Kania.

Trace Monoprints with Patricia Canelake
Saturday February 23, 10am-1pm
$35 ($40 non-members) + materials fee, TBD

Using plexiglass and ink, experiment with trace monoprints and etching (without chemicals!) while applying drawing and painting techniques to printmaking.  Explore design elements to create contour drawings and one-of-a-kind painterly prints. Artists work with assigned subject matter and create one drawing and two to three prints.
