An evening to come together to celebrate the power of art to connect, disrupt, heal and grow together as a community.

The Duluth Art Institute presents a unique and special evening

Annual Masquerade Gala with this year’s theme, the Roaring 20s. But first, mark October 9, 2021 on your calendar!

We will gather in person and with live feeds through social media channels. The Great Hall of The St. Louis County Depot will bustle with period music, artists, art, and food from Valentini's. We encourage you to arrive in a 20-esque costume to put on the ritz.

Be the bee's knees, enjoy some giggle water, and indulge in the arts and the swanky 20s!

You’ll have an opportunity to support the DAI financially through our silent auction, fund a need campaign, and donations.

Last year’s annual event made it possible to provide free arts programming for teens, update the ceramics studio, support the beloved Free ArtDAIs, and provide scholarship opportunities for artists and creative learners.  The DAI provides so much for artists and the community, we hope you will support us.

We know you value the difference visual art makes in our community. Would the Lift Bridge be as iconic if no one painted it? Would the power of our lake be as poignant in memories alone? And would our lives be as fulfilling if visions otherwise unimagined were not brought to us through the talent of those who create?

$50 General Admission includes an evening of entertainment, heavy appetizers, cash bar, games, and silent auction

$100 Speakeasy Admission includes all of the general admission experiences + an after party Speakeasy with a Steve Reyldts' whiskey tasting in a historic lounge car.

Be sure to bring cash for games & busker tips.
