Patty Ziburski has been weaving and repairing baskets for over 15 years and is a member of the North Shore Basket Guild. Start out the day as a beginner, and leave with a fully formed basket and the skills to continue making more in the future. Each session will feature a new style of basket weaving; sign up for one day or both!

Carla O’Connor’s watercolor workshop stresses the importance of the steps you take to create a painting. Her approach is one of incredible discipline and expressive free thought, focusing on a different design principle at every stage of her work. In the tradition of the old masters, she brings up the entire painting at every stage, starting big and broad then slowly adding detail. Carla also discusses the importance of emotion in your work and when to tackle difficult subject matter. She will offer ideas on making your paintings more personal, encouraging you to take risks as an artist. Carla is a signature member of the American Watercolor Society and National Watercolor Society, having won several prizes in their annual exhibitions, most recently in 2009. She has appeared in many publications including “Watermedia Painting with Stephen Quiller,” “Finding Your Visual Voice,” and “Exploring Color.” She also has a DVD available called “Figure Design in Gouache: The Process.”
